The America’s Pledge initiative was established by former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and former California Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. to aggregate, analyze, and showcase climate leadership by America’s states, cities and businesses.
Accelerating America’s Pledge, launched at the 2019 COP25 conference, is the most comprehensive assessment to date of how these real economy leaders are driving the U.S. toward a low-carbon future.
This report illuminates a pathway to a comprehensive and ambitious American climate strategy for 2030, using expanded bottom-up leadership as the foundation of a comprehensive “All-In” climate strategy. This comes at a time when nations around the world are considering how to strengthen their climate targets and raise global ambition.
